Safe on vacation

Good to know for travelling to the Seefeld Region – Tyrol’s High Plateau

Current information you find here:
https://www.seefeld.com/en/region-tyrol-service/news-about-coronavirus

What must be observed for entry?

Entry regulations from countries on List ‘1’ (low-incidence states):
“2G+“ rule – entry from these countries is allowed for fully-vaccinated or recovered persons with an
additional negative PCR test (max. 72 hours old). An additional PCR test for entry is not required for
vaccinated persons who have had their 3rd booster vaccination. This rule applies to persons aged 12
years and over. School-age children from 12 to 15 years of age who are unvaccinated or only 1x
vaccinated need the “Holiday Ninja Passport“ for entry. Pregnant women and persons who cannot be
vaccinated for health reasons are exempt from this rule but must carry a medical certificate as proof
therof. If no additional PCR test or 3rd booster vaccination can be proven on entry, entry is still
possible but only with immediate self-quarantine. Quarantine can be ended once a PCR test has been
carried out after entry and a negative result has been confirmed. In this case, a pre-travel clearance
form is also required. Written confirmations must be in German or English

List ‘1’ countries:
Andorra, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia,
Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Latvia,
Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand,
Norway, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Republic of Ireland, Romania, Ruanda, San Marino, Saudi Arabia,
Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Uruguay, the
Vatican, Vietnam.

Entry conditions from List ‘2’ countries (virus mutation areas):
As a rule, entry from these countries is not allowed and is essentially restricted to Austrian nationals
and those persons with main residence or who are ordinarily resident in Austria, including for work or
study purposes. In such cases, entry is allowed only with a negative PCR test followed by a 10-day
quarantine period that can be ended at the earliest after 5 days with an additional negative PCR test.
Arrivals from List ‘2’ countries are also required to register via the Pre-Travel-Clearance form.
Registration is possible from 72 hours prior to arrival. The above regulations also apply for entry via
“other states and territories” if a stay in a virus variant area was within the last 10 days.

List ‘2’ countries: Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia,
Zimbabwe, South Africa

Entry from other states and territories:
The following applies for entry from states not on List 1 or List 2: no compulsory quarantine and no
registration required for persons with proof of vaccination (2 doses; or for vaccines with only 1 dose,
date of vaccination & min. 21 days; recovered persons require at least the 1
st vaccination). Entry from
third countries is therefore also possible for vaccinated visitors. Without full immunisation, the following
applies for persons wishing to enter: a ‘2,5-G’ certificate must be carried (proof of 1. vaccination, 2.
negative PCR test or 3. recovered status), registration is required (Pre-Travel-Clearance form) and
there will be a 10-day quarantine period which can be ended at the earliest after 5 days with a
negative test.

Is there a central test station in Seefeld where you can take stay tests / access tests?

Test station at the “Schützenheim”/old fire station in Seefeld:
Opening times: Monday to Saturday: 8.30 am – 1 pm and 2 pm – 6 pm. No prior registration required.
Please make sure you have official photo ID and your regional guest card with you. FFP2 masks must
be worn. PCR tests are available and cost € 19 (results by SMS – also available in English – on the
following day). Please pay by card.

What do I have to consider during my stay in the accommodation?

As far as check-in and any services used in the accommodation during your stay are concerned, you
must show a vaccination certificate or confirmation of recovery from Covid-19. Guests have to wear a
FFP2 mask in all public areas. The same rules apply to hotel restaurants as to other restaurants.

What if another guest in the house has tested positive?

There is a difference between high-risk exposure (K1) contacts and low-risk exposure (K2) contacts.
Final decisions are always at the discretion of the relevant health authority. For example, should a
positive tested person show signs of a Corona mutation, the health authority may require contact
persons to undergo a period of quarantine in specific cases.

Are there any contact restrictions?

There are no general contact or going-out restrictions except for unvaccinated persons.

Re-entry for Austrian guests: no restrictions for returning elsewhere in Austria from the
Seefeld Region

Return journey to Germany: vaccinated and recovered persons only need to complete an entry declaration
(with upload of the respective certificate), no quarantine obligation applies. All other persons require
an entry declaration, a valid test and are obliged to quarantine. Release from quarantine is possible
after 5 days with a negative test. Definition of 3-G proof: for all persons entering the country aged 12
and over: complete vaccination (14-day waiting period), antigen/PCR test (max. 48 or 72 hrs.) or
certificate of recovery (max. 6 months and infection at least 28 days ago).

Re-entry to Switzerland/Liechtenstein: to return to Switzerland from Tyrol, you do not need proof of
vaccination, a negative test or a certificate showing proof of recovery from Covid-19. Pre-entry
registration is also not required. In the event of a check being carried out, you need to be able to prove
that you are returning from Tyrol (e.g. holiday booking confirmation).

Return journey to Italy: entry or re-entry to Italy is only possible with a vaccination pass (fully-vaccinated
min. 14 days and with an EMA-approved vaccine) plus a negative antigen (max. 24 hrs.) or PCR test
(max. 48 hrs.) or a proof of recovery certificate (required quarantine period must be over) plus a
negative antigen (max. 24 hrs.) or PCR test (max. 48 hrs.) or a test certificate (negative PCR or
antigen test no older than 48 hours at the time of entry/re-entry, also for children over the age of 6
years). Certificates must be in Italian, English, French or Spanish and can be digital or in paper-form
(certificates in German are also acceptable for South Tyrol). Additionally, persons entering Italy must
register via the digital Passenger Localisation Form (dPLF).

Do guests need to show a certificate at the accommodation?

All guests must be vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19 before entering any accommodation,
restaurant or (indoor) leisure facility, unless they can provide a doctor’s certificate with a medical
reason why vaccination is not possible. In this case, the medical certificate in combination with a
negative PCR test (always valid for 72 hrs) will be accepted.

Validity period of the proofs:

Recovered persons: segregation certificate (not older than 6 months) or proof of recovery
certificate/doctor’s confirmation of recovery from infection (not older than 6 months).

Vaccinated persons: proof of full vaccination applies from the time of the 2
nd dose (except Johnson &
Johnson – date of vaccination & min. 21 days and at latest until the 2nd of January without booster).
Validity: max. 7 months. Accepted vaccines: all vaccines approved by the EMA.

At what age do children have to show a test result?

Holiday Ninja Pass for unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated young people of compulsory
school age (from 12 to 15 years) from abroad. The requirement for the pass is serial testing. This
means that at least 3 tests must be carried out within 5 days, at least 2 of which must be PCR tests.
Provided that within these 5 days a consistently valid test proof with PCR and/or antigen test is
available and is also carried along, this means equality with the 2G status, even for days 6 and 7
without further test proofs. This allows the stay in Austrian accommodation facilities, restaurants,
leisure facilities and the use of cable cars. The validity period is 48 hours for antigen tests and 72
hours for PCR tests. The start of the Holiday Ninja Pass does not have to coincide with the holiday
week. Two 7-day cycles may be required for a holiday week. You can download your Holiday Ninja
Pass HERE!

What if I develop symptoms and/or test positive while on holiday?

If you suspect you have Covid-19, you will be asked to stay in your room until the local health authority
(tel. 1450) or the local doctor can be informed, the district health authority has been notified and the
responsible doctor has arrived on site. You cannot leave the room before the test results have been
received, unless you need to be transferred to hospital. All contact persons from 48 hours prior to the
onset of symptoms should be contacted as quickly as possible. The quarantine in the room will end in
the event of a negative test result (PCR test) and no further steps are required in resort.
In the event of a positive test result (PCR test), you must remain in the room until the health authorities
have been informed and further instructions have been received. There are different possibilities here:
quarantine in the accommodation, quarantine in a so-called ‘safe house‘ or, in extreme cases, transfer
to hospital. An early return home for the positive-tested person is also possible under certain
conditions. This is done by means of a special ‘infection transport’ and must be considered and
approved on an individual basis by the authorities.

Where do I have to wear an FFP2 mask?

An FFP2-mask is currently compulsory in public areas & on public transport with railway platforms, at
bus stops, train stations, taxis. Exceptions include persons exempt from wearing a mask for medical
reasons and children up to the age of 6. Children between 6 and 14 years are allowed to wear a
mouse-nose-protection.
